"Layer A" of "Barrier" has been for the most part completed. Andrew and I worked our asses off for the entire month of June and were beset with an impressive array of ridiculous problems, including consistently severe weather bad enough to produce what was apparently the first tornado in Montana in something like 50 years - a tornado, that is, about THREE QUARTERS OF A MILE from our installation site. Still, we're very pleased with the results thus far. I'm currently off to Berlin for a couple of months to produce some work, and see some work under the auspices of a grant I received, which leaves Andrew finishing the piece solo in Billings. I hope to add what problem solving and design suggestions I can from afar. Many apologies and the best of luck to my excellent friend and colleague. Andrew, I owe you big time!

A detail of the "corrosion" section. Hopefully some of the surface quality of the panels is visible.

The corners of the piece are folded, not joined. Images of this process are posted to my profile at facebook.com, in an album titled "The Project"
